Při ohlednutí za rokem 2023 je třeba připomenout velmi úspěšnou výstavu CONNECTED III umělců z Rakouska a České republiky. Společný projekt Künstlerhaus Vereinigung a pražského SČUG Hollar poskytl příležitost k navázání dialogu mezi oběma uměleckými spolky, umělci a návštěvníky. Výstava autorských knih ve Vídni byla také hojně navštěvovanou součástí Langen Nacht der Museen 2023.

CONNECTED III
Názvu výstavy je možné porozumět třeba ve smyslu PROPOJENO. Jde totiž o výstavu Autorských knih. Knihy obecně spojuje vazba / binding/, i když u autorských uměleckých knih, někdy můžeme najít pouzdro nebo krabici, která vazbu nahrazuje. Jen více listů, které jsou nějakým způsobem spojeny, může vytvořit celek, který je možno prohlížet, nebo číst.
SOUVISLOST můžeme najít v tom, že výstava ukazuje práce členů dvou tradičních uměleckých sdružení na jedno téma. Jde o umělce dvou států, Rakouské a České republiky. Jedna velká část historie je nám společná, učíme se znovu spolupracovat, snažíme se o sobě dovědět více, budoucnost vidíme v celku Evropské unie. Autory české části jsou členové uměleckého sdružení Hollar, kteří odpověděli na open call na téma Autorská kniha. Výsledkem je kolekce uměleckých objektů, které často vznikly jako jen jeden originální exemplář. Soubor ukazuje zájem českých umělců o tuto formu vizuálního sdělení, v tomto času a na tomto místě.
SPOJITOST možná výstava prokáže, hledáme, co je nám společné po dlouhých dobách odloučení. Kulturní výměna ale probíhala vždy, i v dobách podivných, za okolností méně příznivých. Je tudíž na co navazovat.

Der Name der Ausstellung kann im Sinne von VERBUNDEN verstanden werden. Es handelt sich nämlich um eine Ausstellung von Künstlerbüchern: Bücher verbindet im Allgemeinen die Bindung, obwohl wir bei autorenbasierten Künstlerbüchern manchmal eine Hülle oder Box finden, die die Bindung ersetzt. Nur mehr Blätter, die irgendwie miteinander verbunden sind, können ein Ganzes bilden, das betrachtet oder gelesen werden kann.
Der ZUSAMMENHANG ist darin zu finden, dass die Ausstellung die Arbeiten der Mitglieder zweier traditioneller Kunstvereine zu einem Thema zeigt. Es handelt sich um Künstler zweier Staaten, der Tschechischen Republik und Österreichs. Ein großer Teil der Geschichte ist uns gemeinsam, wir lernen wieder zusammenzuarbeiten, wir versuchen mehr über uns zu erfahren, wir sehen die Zukunft im Ganzen der Europäischen Union. Die Autoren des tschechischen Teils sind Mitglieder des Künstlervereins Hollar, die auf den Open Call zum Thema Autorenbuch geantwortet haben. Das Ergebnis ist eine Sammlung von Kunstobjekten, die oft nur als einzelnes, originales Exemplar entstanden ist. Das Ensemble zeigt das Interesse der tschechischen Künstler an dieser Form der visuellen Kommunikation, zu dieser Zeit und an diesem Ort.
Die VERBINDUNG kann die Ausstellung möglicherweise beweisen, wir suchen, was uns nach langen Trennungszeiten gemeinsam ist. Der kulturelle Austausch fand jedoch immer statt, auch in seltsamen Zeiten und unter weniger günstigen Umständen. Es gibt also etwas, woran es möglich ist, anzuknüpfen.

The name of the exhibition can be understood in the sense of ALLIED. It is, in fact, an exhibition of artists´ books. Books are generally connected by the binding, although in the case of artists´ books, we sometimes find a cover or box replacing the binding. Only more leaves, somehow bound together, can form a whole that can be viewed or read.
The TOGETHER is found in the fact that the exhibition shows the work of members of two traditional art associations on one theme. These are artists from two countries, the Czech Republic and Austria. A large part of history is common to us, we are learning to work together again, we are trying to learn more about each other, we see the future in the whole of the European Union. The authors of the Czech part are members of the artists‘ association Hollar, who responded to the Open Call on the subject of artists´ books. The result is a collection of art objects, many of which were created as single, original copies. The ensemble shows the interest of Czech artists in this form of visual communication, at this time and in this place.
CONNECTION can possibly prove the exhibition, we are looking for what we have in common after long periods of separation. However, cultural exchange has always taken place, even in strange times and under less favourable circumstances. So there is something it is possible to build on.
